(P)REVIEW III
Group Exhibition
Frank Taal Gallery is pleased to present (P)REVIEW III, the third chapter of an evolving exhibition series that unfolds between recollection and anticipation - a dialogue between what has been and what is
yet to come.
(P)REVIEW IlI builds directly on our presence at Art Rotterdam 2026, where we were proud to present our three focus artists - Isabelle Borges, Daan den Houter, and Gerben Mulder - alongside a salon-style presentation of the gallery's wider group of artists.
Art Rotterdam 2026 marked not only an important moment of visibility, but also reflected a broader trajectory shaped by past exhibitions, collaborations, and ongoing dialogues within the gallery.
In this sense, (P)REVIEW is not simply a continuation, but a moment of reflection and projection - an exhibition that brings together what has been developed over time while offering a glimpse into what lies ahead.
In this regard, Frank Taal Gallery, through (P)REVIEW III, also is pleased to show artworks of two artists we admire: Tim Mastik, a Rotterdam- based artist who explores the boundaries between painting and sculpture through a material-driven, process-oriented practice; and Frank Halmans, whose work transforms everyday objects and architectural forms into poetic, dreamlike compositions that hover between reality and imagination.
Drawing inspiration from Nicolas Bourriaud's concept of relational aesthetics, the exhibition moves beyond traditional boundaries, focusing not only on individual works but also on the connections they generate - between objects, materials, ideas, and viewers.
Like threads woven into a tapestry, these works form a layered, human
experience in which every interaction contributes to the whole.
At the core of (P)REVIEW III lies the gallerist's intuition, bringing together seemingly disparate works into a cohesive and resonant landscape.
Much like an artist, the gallerist shapes connections across forms and perspectives, creating a space where boundaries blur and meanings evolve through proximity and dialogue.
We are delighted to welcome you to (P)REVIEW III at Frank Taal Gallery and to invite you to experience the exhibition with us.
