Last chance: the many forms of water at Ballon Rouge

Until 26 September, Ballon Rouge in Rotterdam presents the group exhibition ‘The Unfixed Line’, curated by photographer Marlike Marks. Together with Vivian Ammerlaan, François Hendrickx, Anne Kære, Merel Klomp & Elmar Janse, Sanne Romeijn and Dineke Versluis, she considers water and the different ways in which this elusive element can be experienced and represented. At times, water is immediately recognisable in the exhibition, elsewhere it is merely suggested, appearing as a stain or reflection, as the backdrop to a human scene or in an even more implicit form.
