Art Antwerp: discover 70 galleries from 11 countries in a single visit
From 12 to 15 December, the fourth edition of Art Antwerp will take place at Antwerp Expo, organised by Art Brussels. Featuring 70 galleries from 11 countries, the fair offers an exciting mix of emerging talent and established names. All artistic disciplines are represented, from paintings and sculptures to installations, providing a comprehensive snapshot of the current art world.
One unique aspect of Art Antwerp is its invitation-only concept: galleries cannot apply for participation but are instead carefully selected by an Invitation Committee. This ensures not only high quality but also reinforces the exclusive nature of the fair. This year, no fewer than 19 galleries from GalleryViewer will be participating.
Another highlight is that nearly one-third of the galleries have opted for solo or duo presentations, giving visitors the chance to really delve into the work of an individual artist. Additionally, 30% of the featured artists are under the age of 35, offering fresh and innovative perspectives. Among the standout features of Art Antwerp are the large-scale installations displayed throughout the fair’s walkways, with works by artists such as Aaron-Victor Peeters (Uitstalling Art Gallery), Florian Tomballe (PLUS-ONE Gallery), Bert De Geyter (Settantotto Art Gallery), and Willem Boel (BARBÉ).
