Frank Taal Galerie has invited Galerie Van den Berge to collaborate on a special exhibition in Rotterdam. This presentation brings together two galleries that have each developed a distinctive voice within the Dutch contemporary art landscape.
Joyce, Tom, and Frank have known each other for many years. Connected through friendship, mutual respect, and a shared passion for contemporary art, they meet regularly at the Netherlands’ leading art fairs. Van den Berge GOES Frank Taal celebrates this long-standing relationship through an exhibition in which the artists represented by both galleries are presented side by side.
The exhibition creates a dynamic encounter between different artistic positions, sensibilities, and generations. Works enter into dialogue with one another, revealing unexpected affinities and productive contrasts. What emerges is a vibrant field of exchange in which perspectives shift, tensions arise, and new connections become visible.
As writer, collector, and opening speaker Sven Schlijper-Karssenberg observes, both galleries are driven by a commitment to discovery, artistic integrity, craftsmanship, and energy. Frank Taal Galerie’s urban, raw, and unmistakably Rotterdam character meets the adventurous, independent spirit of Galerie Van den Berge. Together, they create a space where artists challenge, complement, and amplify one another.
The result is an exhibition that highlights the strength of two galleries whose visions intersect through curiosity, conviction, and a deep belief in the transformative power of art.
