Artist's talk by Andrea Rádai on February 5 during the finissage of the Talking Transitions exhibition with works by 13 artists
Title: 'About My Work'
Andrea Radai (Budapest, 1964) has been working as a painter in the Netherlands for over 30 years. In her work she explores the relationships between collective and personal, history and memory. In this she mainly seeks the tension between what people show and what they hide. In her theme she is drawn to the vulnerable and the painful, which raises the question for her as an artist: to look or not to look.
She has exhibited in Amsterdam, Berlin, Budapest and Hanoi, among others.
