The works of Terry Thompson are sometimes narrative, associative, but always it is a search for connections. The result is poetic, sensual, mystical. The human body is a great inspiration, mainly the female body. His paintings and drawings belong to an emotional world, a world of stories and myths in which the human body is the most important visual element. The medium used is mainly drawings but also paintings and sculptures. The works here in Art Gallery O-68 are drawings. Thompson lives and works in Amsterdam. In 2008 Thompson was a fellow at the Pollock – Krasner Foundation in New York. His work is in many collections in The Netherlands and USA.
