Studied Visual Arts at St. Lucas, Gent, specifically Graphic Arts (1984-’88) and then the National Higher Institute for Visual Arts (HISK) in Antwerp (1989-’92).
The early work between ’88 and ’96 were very often awarded prizes and earned different nominations (see attachments). All of the works up to ’90, having developed their own language, were awarded the ‘HORLAIT-DAPSSENS Prize’.
Since then, his work has participated in several exhibitions in Belgium, France, Spain, Greece, Netherlands, Italy, … China, India, South Africa,… ). The work has also been included in different collections and private collections home and abroad (FR, I, L, NL, UK, VS, B, …), as well as at art-fairs: Art Twente (solo), Art Zurich, ‘BRAND’ (Brussels), ‘TALENT'(Brussels) and ‘Art Brussels’.
During this time, the work was increasingly shown in individual presentations in galleries and art centers also both home and abroad.
Dominiq is currently Lecturer and Professor in Visual Arts.
