At the heart of the festival is Volume, a work that simulates breathing in an abstract way. Elsemarijn Bruys' object takes the form of a lung that breathes in and out: the bag of air slowly inflates itself, until at one point it is stopped by the surrounding metal structure, through which it then tries to wriggle. The installation, like the lung in the human body, is at the center of the park. The lung is presented as the direct and important human observer of air, measuring air quality on site.
