At the invitation of Dick de Bruijn, Tom van den Berge and Joyce van Elzakker (Galerie van den Berge) will be giving a presentation at his Ruimte voor Kunst in Middelburg.

For over 35 years, Tom and Joyce organised exhibitions and projects from their gallery in Goes. Since January 2026, Galerie van den Berge has been operating as a nomadic gallery, presenting its artists at various locations.
The relationship between Dick de Bruijn and Tom and Joyce dates back to the time when Dick settled in Middelburg and continued his Amsterdam gallery there. The two galleries collaborated on several occasions at the Art Amsterdam/KunstRAI art fair and also organised a joint exhibition in Goes.
Dick de Bruijn’s invitation fits seamlessly with Galerie van den Berge’s current concept and also offers a wonderful opportunity to present its artists in Zeeland once again.
At the same time, it presents a unique challenge to curate an exhibition in a beautifully furnished private home, in contrast to the usual presentations in the neutral setting of a ‘white cube’.
