Kersgallery presents a powerful dialogue between six artists who capture the essence of our time. Royal Award winner Taqwa Ali and Ayo, currently a resident at the Rijksakademie, bring expressive visual language, with Ayo using her sculptures to create connections between form and emotion. Marc Mulders and Lotte Wieringa explore the lyrical and mystical aspects of nature in their abstractions. Sam Werkhoven adds playful layering with dynamic compositions, while Eline Boerma introduces a new dimension with her refined technique and intuitive use of color. Together, they create a booth where tradition and innovation reinforce one another. At Intersection, Kersgallery proudly presents Kompinchi’ (Handlangers), a mixed-media project (2025) by David Bade, Tirzo Martha, Roxette Capriles, Travis Geertruida, Shardenia Felicia, and Elvis Chen. The co-founders of IBB (Instituto Buena Bista, Curaçao) stand together with alumni, working and (re)imagining as accomplices of The Rock of Stumbling (Boelie van Leeuwen). Collaboration and education are not just key concepts in their work and actions; they generate new artistic alternatives and cultural heritage for the island, forming an unstoppable movement after 20 years.
