Galerie Maurits van de Laar rounds off the year 2018 whith the group exhibition Ristretto in which each artist will show one or two small works. Ristretto includes long time represented artists like Robine Clignett, Marcel van Eeden and Diederik Gerlach but also new names like Shary Boyle and young talents as Susanna Inglada and Cedric ter Bals.
The show gives an actual overview of the gallery, with drawing at its core with artists as Martin Assig, Frank Van den Broeck, Robbie Cornelissen, Karin van Dam and Henri Jacobs. Sebastiaan Schlicher recently developed a new variety during his residency at the Lucebert House with his video synthesis in which he draws by means of an electronic signal.
Textworks by Elsbeth Ciesluk, ceramic sculpture by Elmar Trenkwalder, painted vases by Nare Eloyan, textilework by Marin Fenne and Zeger Reyres’ book prepared with fungi show the diversity of the gallery program. There are also new paintings by Erik Pape, Ronald Versloot, Andrea Freckmann and Tobias Lengkeek and watercolours by Nour-Eddine Jarram of Dutch and Moroccan people in traditional costumes.
