Lupines is a series of medium-sized sculptures that embodies Arne Quinze's exploration of nature's diversity. After numerous sketches and studies with paint in the studio, after numerous paper models, after forming flower cones, after stacking and welding those cones and after painting, the sculpture Lupines is an attempt by the artist to capture the power of nature and shift our attention to the importance of our relationship with nature.
The artist addresses several questions in the evolution of anthropology through botany. The unbridled evolutionary power of plants to develop into a broad spectrum of diverse shapes, textures and colours form the basis for Arne Quinze's visual narratives. Arne Quinze challenges himself to capture the true beauty and diversity of our precious nature.
