Besides his traditional painting technique with oil paint, pencil and crayon on canvas, Wim Jacobs enjoys working on paper. He considers it as an even more direct form of creation. Where his canvases reflect contemplation and observation, his sketches on paper show an acceleration because of the short length of time in which they are created. Sometimes they are preliminary studies for bigger paintings, but most of the time they are artworks on themselves. Again, Wim Jacobs shows us a new side road in his universe!
