Façade is composed of black paper, pigment, black textile buttons and a black cap. The work is related to Karin van Dam's Traveling Cities: towns with battlements like on hilltops in Tuscany, which they hang freely in space. She thereby refers to Italo Calvino's novel Invisible Cities (Le città invisibili) in which Marco Polo at the court of Kublai Kahn describes imaginary cities to please the ruler.
