Stefan Gritsch, SEMIPRECIOUS, 2020 - acrylverf, ø 7 cm. Happy, Stefan just sent me this work. Fell in love – I also fall for some other works that remind me of jewels:

- on a shelf in the entrance hall of Phoebus Rotterdam, Stefan put '4 Tierherzen' [ animal hearts ] in pure acrylic paint; in his series of 'Self-Portraits', Stefan friendly identifies with people or animals - we can only guess at further meanings....
- on another shelf in the exhibition still on view, are put 4 'Pearls' of plm. ø 16 cm., one of which is stamped in with the name 'JUDA', a town in the conflict region in South Sudan; there are 3 'Pearls' without stamped names
- a grayish pink form, size of a fist, acrylic paint, shows a weight in gramms, written down there with a pencil - it is the weight of a heart [ we combined the work in the exhibition '30 x 2' with Regula Maria Müller's sculpture of a skull-cap of a child, in brons, with goldfoil inside....
