Presentation Frank Taal Galerie at Art Rotterdam 2026 - Booth nr. D7
Our presentation will focus on the works of Isabelle Borges, Daan den Houter and Gerben Mulder. Each artist in our focus is selected for their many successful international presentations over the last 15 months.
We are presenting smaller works by artists represented by the gallery in a salon presentation, which proved an outstanding success in the editions of 2024 and 2025. As always, in a carefully balanced show.

In focus
This year, Isabelle Borges (born 1966 in Salvador, Brazil; has lived and worked in Berlin since 1997) did a three-month artist residency at the world-renowned European Ceramic Work Centre (EKWC) in Oisterwijk, The Netherlands. At Art Rotterdam, she will present her ceramic works
alongside her paintings. In the last eight months, she has had solo shows at Feldbusch Wiesner, Rudolph in Berlin, at Rupert Pfab Gallery in Düsseldorf, and currently at Galerie Heike Strelow in Frankfurt. In 2025, Isabelle Borges participated in several institutional exhibitions: Konkrete
Frauen – Neue Räume, Kunstmuseum Ahlen, European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025 (site-specific installation), and a Wall installation with objects and photo collages at the Paper Biennale 2025, CODA Museum, Apeldoorn (NL). Upcoming: Group exhibition Fact / Fake, Städtische Galerie Regensburg (November 2025), and a solo show at Frank Taal Galerie in February 2026. Her works are held in institutional and private collections in Brazil and Europe.
The final exhibition of 2025 at Frank Taal Galerie was the very successful solo show ALSO NICE/ OOK MOOI! by Daan den Houter (NL, 1977).
In 2025, Den Houter participated in a group show at Woollahra Gallery in Sydney, Australia. Additionally, Cmay Gallery in Los Angeles presented his work at this year’s KIAF Art Fair in Seoul, Korea. Last year, he had a solo show at Cmay gallery in Los Angeles and presented his Canvas Repaint project in ‘Snakken naar Boijmans’, Museum Boijmans van Beuningen. His works are held in institutional and private collections in Europe.
Gerben Mulder (NL, 1972; lives and works in New York and Rio de Janeiro). Frank Taal Galerie has been presenting Mulder since 2014. In 2024, his Brazilian gallery Fortes D'aloia & Gabriel presented a retrospective solo show ‘Donkey had Enough’ by Mulder in Rio de Jáneiro, Brazil. They also presented him together with works by Ibere Camargo (1914 –1994 †); Gerben Mulder – Ibere Camargo. He has been presented at Art Basel Main Fair, Art Basel Miami, Frieze London, Frieze New York, The Armoury, and Expo Chicago. His New York-based gallery just showed him solo at ZONA MACO, Mexico City 2026. His works are held in numerous institutional and private collections worldwide.
