With 'Light Years', Callewaert Vanlangendonck Gallery presents the first gallery exhibition since the passing of Paul Van Hoeydonck (1925 – 2025). A tribute to the artist who seamlessly united art and the cosmos – from his early abstract works to the iconic space art, including the 'Fallen Astronaut' (the first artwork on the Moon). Featuring key works from the 1950s and 1960s, this exhibition revisits the period in which Van Hoeydonck developed his unique visual language and pushed the boundaries of art far beyond Earth. Running concurrently with a homage to Van Hoeydonck at KMSKA (Royal Museum of Fine Arts Antwerp), 'Light Years' offers an intimate, complementary perspective on his oeuvre.
