The third work pays the most pronounced tribute to medieval aesthetics and imagination and, at the same time, represents a reference to the myth of Dracula – as we well know, the bat is the animal into which he metamorphoses. Here, the bat flies over one of the fortified churches in Transylvania and summons various characters to take part in his witchcraft practices. The church fortified in flames is a reference to the way in which Romanian heritage is being actively degraded, with a good part of these monuments being already in an advanced state of degradation/on the verge of disappearing.
