A ghost that haunts the Saxon fortified church Prejmer, a Unesco monument, starting from the text of the Romanian ethnologist Tudor Pamfile, from the beginning of the 20th century: "A ghost is usually the spirit of a dead person who remains attached to the place where his life took place, as a kind of guardian or possessor. (…) Ghosts are also made from the shadows of the dead, unforgiven in life, from those who have not been given proper burials or burials according to their wishes, as well as those who have fallen through spells. (…) Ghosts have a human appearance, with white, red, black or yellow clothing. (…) The only shortcoming that ghosts bring is the fear they make people feel. Therefore, when passing those places of ghosts, a living person must pass by without looking at them, and especially without looking back, because if this is not respected, he or she will see those ghosts often, «unclean and bearing horns»."
