Ik maak sculpturen en installaties als actieve agenten, als persoonlijke vertalers van multisensorische kennis. Met mijn werk wil ik de hegemonie van individualistische percepties van een opgelegde beschavings- en separatistische logica uitdagen en een ervaringsgerichte taal voorstellen die gebaseerd is op verbondenheid en collectief bewustzijn.
Mijn artistieke reis verweeft diverse culturele ervaringen, waarbij ik traditionele Zuid-Amerikaanse en Indiaanse kunstpraktijken vermeng met hedendaagse perspectieven. Ik gebruik artistieke expressie om verhalen over erfgoed, gemeenschap en cognitief begrip te belichamen. Keramiek dient als mijn primaire medium, waardoor ik sociale en culturele dimensies kan verkennen.
In mijn werk maak ik tastbaar wat ontastbaar kan zijn en vervolgens, als een dekoloniale oefening, valideer ik deze vormen van begrip met wat wordt beschouwd als logisch of rationeel in termen van objectiviteit en cognitieve kennis. Ik beschouw deze oefening als een sterke praktijk van empathie. Een innerlijk spel tussen ons fysieke bestaan en een verruimd inzicht in sociaal en natuurlijk bestaan en zorg.
