Rafaël Rozendaal is een Nederlands-Braziliaanse kunstenaar die momenteel in New York woont. Zijn werk wordt regelmatig geëxposeerd, niet alleen in Europa en de VS, maar ook in Azië en Zuid-Amerika. Hij werkte samen met instellingen als Centre Pompidou, Kunstverein Frankfurt, TSCA Gallery Tokyo, Seoul Art Fair, Media Art Institute en het Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam. Hij spreekt regelmatig over onderwerpen op het gebied van digitale kunst en zijn werk wordt besproken in internationale publicaties zoals Time Magazine, Wall Street Journal, Flash Art en Interview. Rozendaal is ook de oprichter van het tentoonstellingsconcept Bring Your Own Beamer, een avond waarop kunstenaars hun eigen projectoren brengen om hun digitale werk te tonen. Sinds 2010 zijn er meer dan 100 BYOB-tentoonstellingen geweest, waaronder een op de Biënnale van Venetië. Filmmuseum EYE pakt uit met een indrukwekkende visuele installatie met werk van Rafaël Rozendaal, een van de grootste internetkunstenaars van dit moment. (…) Het zijn websites met speelse, bewegende en kleurrijke beelden die hij tentoonstelt op het internet, zijn digitale expositieruimte. Sommige van zijn sites bieden de bezoeker een bijna meditatieve of psychedelische ervaring. Het werk van de internetkunstenaar is volgens Guldemond actueler dan ooit ‘Zijn werk verhoudt zich tot de groeiende digitalisering. Hij geeft vorm aan een wereld die we nog amper begrijpen.”

Rafaël Rozendaal is een kunstenaar van het digitale tijdperk. Hij creëert op eigenzinnige wijze websites die voortdurend nieuwe constellaties van abstracte vormen tonen. Als je ze naast elkaar afspeelt, biedt het zeer verrassende combinaties. Hij ziet het internet als een medium met unieke eigenschappen. Naast deze video's maakt hij ook prachtige lenticulaire prints van abstracte kleurvelden.
