Robert Polidori lives and works in New York. He is an internationally renowned photographer specialized in shooting human environments and habitats, and has won many prices, including the World Press Award in 1998. Polidori started his career in the seventies as an assistant in avant-garde film in New York. While living in Paris in the early eighties he began documenting the restoration of Versailles, which he continued doing over a period of thirty years.
