Emi Avora (b. 1979, Greece) is a London-trained, Singapore-based artist whose vibrant and imaginative works explore the intersections of everyday life, personal heritage, and fictional dreamscapes. With a background rooted in her artistic upbringing in Corfu and formal training at the Ruskin School of Art, Oxford, and the Royal Academy Schools, London, Avora has developed a distinctive style that blends architectural precision with whimsical abstraction. Her paintings, drawings, and digital prints draw from public and personal spaces, weaving together modernist influences, colonial narratives, and a playful use of color and scale. Avora’s work has been exhibited internationally, including solo shows at the National Theatre of Greece, Greenberg Van Doren Gallery in New York, and The Apartment Gallery in Athens, as well as group exhibitions at The Whitechapel Gallery and the National Museum of Contemporary Art, Athens.
