Michael Wolf 1954 - 2019

The German photographer Michael Wolf moved to Hong Kong in 1994, and soon the busy metropolis with more than 7 million inhabitants turned out to be a great inspiration. In photo series such as 'Architecture of Density' and 'Tokyo Compression', Wolf explores themes such as privacy and voyeurism in a poetic way, but he also does not shy away from social criticism or a multimedia approach.

The alleys and back streets of Hong Kong are the scene of the city's poor. The cleaners, dishwashers and workers try to survive there and do not throw anything away. Michael Wolf portrays this parallel world and the photos can be seen on BredaPhoto.
