De keuze van... Jos van der Velde
Het werk van Dan Walsh oogt bij een eerste blik misschien vlak en eenvormig, maar is dat beslist niet. Zijn werk laat een fascinerende beheersing zien van het schilderproces. Zijn doeken – opgebouwd uit een raster van patronen – maken dat je tijdens het kijken als vanzelf de gang van de kwast over het linnen reconstrueert. Langzaam kijken, ik houd er zeer van.
