Julia Kaiser was born and raised in the south of Germany and is currently based in Amsterdam. She studied at the Hochschule der Bildenden Künste in Saarbrücken and earned her Master’s degree in Design and New Media from the renowned Sandberg Institute in Amsterdam. Her broad artistic training—ranging from graphic design to contemporary visual art—forms the foundation of a rich and multifaceted practice.
Since 2015, Kaiser has devoted herself fully to her studio work. She creates boldly contrasting large-scale paintings, subtle works on linen and paper, as well as textile-based objects. Her work seamlessly blends conceptual clarity with intuitive visual language.
Kaiser’s work has been exhibited in various shows in Amsterdam and is part of numerous private and corporate collections, including DELA. Her practice occupies a compelling space between structure and spontaneity, between design and embodied expression.
