Quintus Glerum is a mixed media artist that exploits the boundaries between humanity and technology. He studied at Sint-Joost Academy of Arts and Design where he graduated with Cum Laude in animation. He uses the principles of animation in the digital and physical space to research new forms of storytelling. He likes to play around with different media to question the origins and consequences of technological developments speculate about the future.

The studio of... Quintus Glerum

In Quintus Glerum's studio, there are no paint stains or debris on the floor, but rather cables, cables and more cables, along with screens and other electronics. In this studio on the NDSM site in Amsterdam Noord, Glerum is constructing an oeuvre of screen-based installations and self-learning robots.

AROUND VIDEO Art Fair: exciting video art in a hotel in Brussels

From 30 September until 1 October, a modern hotel in Brussels will transform into a temporary art fair. During this weekend, Moxy Brussels City Center will be more than just a place to stay: it becomes a stage for video art. During AROUND VIDEO Art Fair, the variation within the medium is highlighted in the presentations of 40 galleries from all over the world. The fair also includes three presentations from galleries that are represented on GalleryViewer: AKINCI, Josilda da Conceição Gallery and FRED&FERRY.

There is a good chance that you will not sleep as well after binge watching a couple of episodes of Stranger Things. The images and the logic of the series will haunt you for a while afterwards. Fortunately, you quickly return to reality, but what if you get stuck in a TV series, start thinking in scenarios and see everyone around you as a character with its own storyline? This happened to multimedia artist Quintus Glerum. For his gallery debut, he incorporated this experience into 4 personal digital artworks.
