High steel objects in various geometric shapes: Dutch artist Ronald Westerhuis knows how to leave an impression. With his expertise in abstract art and landscape art, he transforms his visions into tangible giant sculptures. His home base Zwolle is where all the magic happens. Here, together with the RAW team, he creates 'a world of reflections'. 1, 2 or even 20: this is the number of times you see yourself reflected in his works. A moment for self-reflection, an encounter with yourself. It makes his art more than a static object, it is a playful experience for young and old.
Over the years, Ronald committed himself to both aesthetic success stories and philanthropic projects. For example, he was given the honor of creating a memorial of the Dutch victims of the MH-17 plane crash, a project close to his heart. Ronald Westerhuis was described as 'an artist of a new generation of artists' by Ralph Keuning, museum director of De Fundatie.
