About Studio Seine
Studio Seine transformed into an engaged gallery, representing artists who give shape to personal stories. After founding Studio Seine in 2016, as an independant exhibition space, Linda Seine developed her platform into a contemporary art gallery with a keen eye on emerging talent.
Every person is a story. Through storytelling, we come to know who someone is, where they come from, and which dreams, desires, obsessions and fears have shaped their present and future. Studio Seine invites artists to peel back the layers of their personal stories and share them with us: stories of conflict, of personal and social fault lines, of echoes of history, of healing and connection. Emerging talent and seasoned veterans take turns in the spotlight. The focus is on painting, drawing and photography – media in which the maker’s hand is clearly recognisable. Studio Seine invites visitors to ‘complete’ the work by actively engaging with it. It is a gallery with the intimacy of a studio. The approach is honest and up close, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the stories of others – and, in doing so, come closer to their own.
Studio Seine is located in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. It focuses on representing artists to an international public through the participation in art fairs and exhibitions.
