Juan Baraja (Toledo, 1984) works with the relationships that emerge between architecture
and the management of space via photography. Residencies, commissions and his own
projects organise an oeuvre in which Baraja uses his camera to travel around different
points in European geography, all of them different yet with a common thread joining
them: they are spaces forgotten by time. In the opinion of Alfredo Puente, member of the
FCAYC cuarorial Area, Baraja revives a way of situating oneself before something to
imagine it via fragments, with another composition, far from the parameters that make
something complete rational and apprehensible
