Riccardo Ajossa (Italy, 1974) lives and works in Rome.
He was invited as artist-curator to the Second Master Class of the 2011 Venice
Biennale, where the video documentary of his work is preserved in the Venice
Biennale Foundation archives. For over a decade, he has collaborated with
the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, where he established Italy’s first workshop for
the creation of handmade paper, combining Eastern and Western techniques in
contemporary art.
Ajossa has presented his research at institutions including the Marmara
University, Cornell University, FBAUL, the Leipzig Academy, and the Tonspur
Museum. His works are held in public collections such as the Benaki Museum,
the Bilotti Museum, the Pontifical Council Museum, and the National Library of Rome.
