Jeroen Jongeleen's work mainly originates in the public space. Through performative and conceptual acts and interventions, he comments on society that is strongly governed by written and unwritten rules. His interventions are related to graffiti, textual art and land art.
The public actions and interventions are brought into the exhibition space by the artist, for instance through video displays, projections or photo installations. These form an alienating afterimage that calls for reflection.
