Camiel Van Breedam (born 1936 in Boom), creates assemblages, reliefs, collages, objects and environments in a variety of materials and styles. His basic materials such as wood, metals and paper come from everywhere and have been used before. They have the patina of a previous life. His subjects are very diverse: the sea, the Indian, literature, jazz, plumbing, Paris, the 20s-30s, social engagement, to name a few.
