The Italian artist and designer Diego Cibelli is interested in our dialogues and interactions with the objects in our (everyday) life, be it furniture, food, or textiles, or even landscapes. Another one of his interests is the intersection of art and design, which allows him to open up a space where objects can be both, or neither, thus free of categorization. Cibelli develops his work in large-scale research projects, and presents his works as collections that form a loosely knitted narrative.
The artist works almost exclusively in ceramics. In his studio in Naples he produces works of the highest production value. Cibelli holds a bachelor degree from the Academy of Fine Art in Naples, and master degrees from the Weissensee Kunsthochschule in Berlin and the University Luigi Vanvitelli in Naples.
