At Artissima 2021, we present you a radical confrontation between the work of two artists with totally different working methods; Thomas Renwart (°1995) creates carpets, tapestries and textile installations as works of art, Willem Boel (°1983) creates monumental installations and mobiles, paintings and amazing objects.
The major connection between the two artists is that they both pay particular attention to their artistic craftsmanship with which they realize their art, without this craftsmanship getting in the way of their artistic experimentation and content. Furthermore, the lyrical and narrative character of their work is an important point of contact.
