Karin Arink studied at the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam, the Rijksakademie Amsterdam and Piet Zwart institute (MEiA 2016). She won the First Prix de Rome Sculpture 1992.
Her work has been widely exhibited, including at the Van Abbemuseum, Centraal Museum, Boijmans Museum, Museo Pecci, Stichting De Pont, Gerhard Marks Haus Bremen, Club Solo, Rijksmuseum Twenthe, etc. She is now represented by RAM Galerie Rotterdam.
In her individual studio practice, Karin Arink uses a variety of media, such as text, animations and (textile, ceramic, papier maché) objects and (cut-up) photos. The choice depends on the experience she chooses to convey.
