In her Plain Dust series, Alexandra Roozen shows that repetition is never the same. Based on set work rules, she repeats endless small hand gestures such as stripes, dots, scratches and lines. None of them can be drawn identically, it reflects the constant changes in the moment itself. The full impact reveals itself by replicating the process and design and presenting the resulting works in series.
