From September 6 through October 18, 2026, Galerie Ramakers presents Dialogue, an exhibition in which the work of Sjoerd Buisman and Warffemius enters into conversation. Their work comes together precisely through their differences. Investigation and stillness, growth and contemplation converge here in a remarkable way.
For more than fifty years, Sjoerd Buisman has explored the hidden logic of natural processes. Spirals, branching structures and organic growths form the core of his work. By directing or making visible processes of growth, he presents nature as a constantly creative and evolving process.
Warffemius approaches nature from a place of stillness. In his paintings, drawings and sculptures, trees, leaves and branches are reduced to their essence. Botanical accuracy is not the focus; instead, his work evokes an experience of light, rhythm and silence.
Where Buisman investigates the dynamics of growth, Warffemius focuses on the stillness in which that growth becomes visible. Together, they offer two distinct perspectives on our relationship with nature.
Dialogue is therefore more than a meeting between two artists. It is an invitation to learn to look again: at the beauty of growth, the power of simplicity, and the quiet interconnectedness between humanity and nature.
