What Holds brings together new works by Jan Theun van Rees, Madelon Uljee and Sophie de Vos.
Across photography and leather wall sculptures, the exhibition centres on what is difficult to fully hold onto: a moment, a form, a constructed space. Some works preserve what would otherwise disappear, while others enlarge details or realities that often remain unnoticed.
Together, the works move between what is captured and what is built, creating an exhibition in which perception, material and time continuously overlap.
Alongside the exhibition, the second edition of Invitation presents new work by Francisca Snel in handblown glass and copper.
On view from 30 May until 11 July 2026 at Root Gallery.
