A duo exhibition by Wim Nival and Sam Lock
At the gallery space in Ghent
*Present Tense* brings together two artists whose distinct practices reveal surprising and undeniable resonances. For the first time, Wim Nival and Sam Lock engage in dialogue within the gallery space in Gentbrugge — a conversation shaped by texture, time, and materiality.
The exhibition presents new works by both artists, with a particular focus on pieces created on reclaimed book covers and aged pages. Through these surfaces, they explore notions of memory, the passage of time, and the subtle “presence of absence” that lingers in every mark and layer.
