In Dented Corner, Jan Theun van Rees explores how a subtle irregularity can transform the experience of space. Within his Painted Room series, each wall and shadow is constructed, painted and photographed to reveal a world that exists only for the camera. The fold in the corner breaks the illusion of perfection, turning the surface into a living structure. Light shifts across soft grey and earthy tones, suggesting both texture and depth, a space that feels tangible yet remains elusive.
