MARIJKE VAN WARMERDAM, Dream machine's sea-horses, 2007
Marijke van Warmerdam created a series of large film prints on canvas, taken from her film loop "Dream Machine" (2006). In each print, she saw a bird, a bison, a dog or an airplane, and so on. Here, she saw a pair of seahorses in the background. She repeated this image in the form of a drip painting by laying the canvas on the floor and letting the paint run directly from a bottle of acrylic paint. This method of dripping and doubling was used in all the paintings she created in 2007.
In the second picture a work by David Kloosterboer, titled '(No) different ways' 2025, is shown and on the far end wall an AI image published on social media platform Truth Social / The White House by president Donald Trump.
