The Wadden Sea 2025, installation, casein and gesso on canvas with mud from the Wadhaas, water from the gully with ebb current, clay from the Wadhaas, water from the Twee Tongen, iron from seepage water from the Wadhaas, melted ice from the Wadden Sea, water from a tidal pool at the Wadhaas, a whale bone from a kakebien from Ameland, a seal bone from Ameland, cockles from the North Sea beach of Ameland, seepage water from Zwarte Haan, clay from the crumbled salt marsh Het Oerd on Ameland, water from the Wadden Sea at Het Oerd with high tide, seepage water from Het Oerd, clay from my favourite spot at Hollum on Ameland, water from the Wadden Sea at Hollum that flowed in two directions at the same time, replenishment sand and washed-up coal from the North Sea beach at Hollum. Washed-up plastic threads, skulls and bones of birds, a seal and a porpoise and driftwood.
