HREINN FRIDFINNSSON, Untitled, 1976
2 parts, each ca 30 cm 30 x 2 cm
The relativity of our earthly existence as humans is a common theme in the work of Hreinn Fridfinnsson. Human insignificance and the passing of time are expressed in this wall sculpture through a imprint he made from the tips of his left hand. The right panel is a counterprint of this, as if there is an extra trace and impact that every person leaves behind.
Diptych "Untitled" was exhibited at Centre George Pompidou in Paris in 1977, Le Magasin in Grenoble in 1987 and at Ars Fennica 2000 in Finland (on tour 2000-2001).
