The new works consist of a photographic composition and multiple panels comprised of casting resin that are mounted in front of it. These transparent panels feature manually embossed imprints. These imprints correspond with the photographic background and comprise a reaction to it. Their forms and structures adopt the photographic motif in formal terms through shifts and overlaps. Kuettinger defines abstract themes as the basis of his photographic works, which he, in return, transforms into spatial constructions of increasing density. He often creates the thematic basis himself by taking snapshots of models according to various lighting conditions.
