The Crowd series is inspired by Elias Canetti's study Crowds and Power, in which he analyzes the psychology of the crowd. The individual is absorbed into the crowd, which can turn into an anonymous group capable of extreme behaviour.
Crowd II is a relatively small work in the series that consists of arms, legs and hands. Between them are an ear and a profile with a nose, the only indications of individuals in the tangle of limbs.
Susanna Inglada works in a collage technique in which she first draws the parts with charcoal on colored paper, cuts them out and then brings them together into a composition.
