Dirk Zoete's stylized human figures are composed of geometric shapes, touching and playful in their utmost simplicity. They seem to be distant cousins of Malevich's suprematist figures or the costumes from Oskar Schlemmer's Triadic Ballet. This sculpture is made of wood that is painted silver gray. In it flowers with elegant stems have been cut that are painted red and green, making the body both stern and inviting. The purple face with its red mouth is crowned by a metal strip, it is related to Dirk Zoete's plaster mask faces. He previously applied these plaster masks in 2019 with his giant figures constructed from gray PVC pipes, textile and rubber boots.
