Andrea Freckmann ( 1970) recently took up the phenomenon of nostalgia in her work, observing a revival for the interest in the past as a reaction to the turmoil and disturbing developments of our time. She approaches this nostalgia critically because the past is often idealised and does not always correspond to how things really were fourty or more years ago.
