Series: The Garden's Tale
In Alessandra Calò's work, the obscurity of the works sharpens the viewer's imagination: what is represented can barely be seen so as to be completed by the imagination, by personal or collective memories.
"The Garden's Tale" consists of a unique wall installation of 11 frames of varying sizes (out of the total 17 that make up the series) presented for the first time by Lab 1930 (January-March 2023) with a critical essay by Lóránd Hegyi, former director of the Musée d'art moderne et contemporain Saint-Étienne Métropole and the Ludwig in Vienna.
In addition to the installation, "The Garden's Tale" includes a one-off Fine Art print of the complete series of 17 frames in a 30 x 40 cm or 40 x 30 cm size.
