In the series 'Requisiten und andere Ideeen' (Props and other Ideas) Andrea Freckmann (1970) continues her focus on the interior and immediate surroundings of her house. Furniture, objects, houseplants and animals alternate, things from daily life precious and dear.
Yet there is also room for small drama. The carnivorous plant can catch a fly that dies a slow death and the dog sometimes bursts into howls. Thus the house becomes a setting for an everyday theatre.
Often the paintings on the wall are quotes from earlier works by Andrea Freckmann, so you can read back the development of her oeuvre in miniature.
